When students commit to doing the hard work of college admissions, she’ll be in their corner until the bell rings. And she brings a loud, unrestrained laugh that makes the hard parts feel a little lighter.

His favorite word is "ineffable" — meaning too great or extreme to be expressed in words. Ironic for someone whose entire job is finding exactly the right ones. Then again, maybe that's the point — Sam knows better than anyone that the most important stories are the hardest to tell. And helping students tell them anyway is exactly what he does.
